How to install Adobe Flash Player on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS For Beginners Step By Step in k4linux:
Adobe Flash Player is a lightweight browser plug-in and rich Internet application runtime that delivers consistent and engaging user experiences, stunning audio/video playback, and exciting gameplay.
As we now it is the most essential application. it allows you to browse all multimedia content like animations, rich media content, flash games, videos etc...
Today in k4linux we gonna see how to install Adobe Flash Player on Ubuntu 14.04 in 32-bit and 64-bit, and how to testing if instalation was successfully done.
Command mode installation: ( 32 Bit OS)
Open your terminal ( Ctrl + Alt + T ) and type :
sudo apt-get update && apt-get install flashplugin-installer
the command will update your repository and install Flash Player along with dependencies.
Command mode installation: ( 64 Bit OS)
Open your terminal ( Ctrl + Alt + T ) and type :
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list
or
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
This commang will help you to edit the source repository list, and add the following lines:
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu trusty partner
deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu trusty partner
Now Update your repository with :
sudo apt-get update
And Install Flash pulgin with :
sudo apt-get install adobe-flashpulgin
GUI mode installation:
Open “Ubuntu software center” . type “Adobe flash plugin” in the search box ( Top right ) and You can see the Adobe flash plugin in the list, press “install” and wait for the installation to complete .
Testing installation:
Go TO http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and you can see the flash player version details .
